I love how you describe how this man comes across to you, you are a careful observer.
Thanks also for reminding me about some of the difficult things of adversity, such as working everyday.
And lastly, I love the stanza from the poem. So true.
God bless.FCBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08741867097151481332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8905807.post-4928214747552558772008-11-03T21:43:00.000-08:002008-11-03T21:43:00.000-08:00Hi Fred :)The man in the picture looks tough and p...Hi Fred :)

The man in the picture looks tough and proud of his child. The child is very happy, comfortable and trusts him to provide and protect her. He seems to say that she is his responsibility. However, he looks so rough that we will not entrust our children to his care.

The truth is that no one likes adversity. Everyone wants comfort.
But adversity teaches very good lessons. For one thing a person has to work on all days to eke out a living. No sundays,no holidays. A person in adversity also learns to survive with the barest minimum.
When the time comes to meet hia Creator, he has less regrets because he will be leaving hardly anything back in this world.

This brings to my mind the poetry; DEATH THE LEVELER. I am reproducing a stanza from this poem:
SCEPTRE AND CROWN MUST TUMBLE DOWN AND IN THE DUST BE EQUALL MADE WITH THE SCYTHE AND SPADE.

Very interesting post.

Have a good day :)Joseph Pulikotilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07074346261093541776noreply@blogger.com
