I hate to admit it, but the older I get the less tolerance I have for people's pets. I know, it's hardly Christian to not be a pet lover, but I seem to focus in more on their bad little habits and shedding hairs than I do on their companionship. It may well be that because I'm in a time in my life when I can hardly keep up with all of life's demands that I just can't bear one more responsibility. That all being said ---- when I see a picture like this one it nearly brings me to tears; the photo's titled, "Saying Good by". The photo captures the years of faithful companionship the two have enjoyed. I'll just stop because the photo says it all..........

Hello Fred,
A beautiful photo.Your photo selections are very good.
The feelings you have expressed about pets are true.I tried to keep a dog but the work was too much and had to give it away.
Now I have some fishes in a tank. But the fishes have to be fed,the tank has to be cleaned and so on.Even this I find irksome. But since I have them,I have to look after them.
Best wishes,
Joseph
Hi Joseph,
Glad you enjoy this photo, it strikes me at the heart, the look in the dog's eyes gets me most. Complete trust, absolutely complete.
Fred
Such a heartwarming picture, Fred! I agree with you about pets. I had pets when I was a kid, and I loved them. My dad has a cat he loves and dotes on. But for myself, my life is so full, the idea of being responsible for and cleaning up after an animal is something I'm completely uninterested in at this time. Perhaps when I'm retired and have lots of time on my hands, that'll change. But I'm very glad that God gave us the gift of domesticated animals, because I know many people's lives are greatly enriched by them!
Blessings,
Mel :)
I guess Patmos Pete was spurned to proclaim against the sins of Babylon by your pooch pic...wow...adventures in missing the point.
