I ran across the following quote, author unknown, and I have read things similar to this many times but somehow this one captured the thought more dramatically for me. I think this is the kind of quote I will hang around the Teen Challenge Center. All of these men and women have gone from the "I won't" to at least "I will try" stage.
I won't, is a tramp.
I can't, is a quitter.
I don't know, is too lazy.
I wish I could, is a wisher.
I will try, is on his feet.
I can, is on his way.
I will, is at work.
I did, is now the boss.

Excellent, Fred! Very catchy, short, easy to remember. The perfect thing to hang on the wall at Teen Challenge. I also like this quote, which I first read in a book by John Piper, but which I've since heard from several other people: "Only one life, 'twill soon be past. Only what's done for Christ will last."

Hope all is well with you and yours!

Hugs,
Mel

Blessings just decided to stop in from my walk through blogersville. A different take on the spirit of human character.

Thanks for sharing. Have a blessed evening and a fantastic weekend.

Hi Mel,
It is "catchy" isn't it. It dove tails nicely with Piper's quote, which, if memory serves me, is from an old hymn.
I find myself in the "I don't know" stage far more often than I would like to admitt.
God bless,
Fred

Hi Rhapsody B.,
Thanks for dropping bye and sharing your thoughts.

Hi Mary,
I like it too, and I think it gets right to the point.
Love Fred
