“There are
three things which are too wonderful for me,
Four which
I do not understand:
The way of
an eagle in the sky,
The way of
a serpent on a rock,
The way of
a ship in the middle of the sea,
And the way
of a man with a maid.” Proverbs 30:18,19
The Eagle
uses its strength with air drafts to soar; leaves no trail or wake, no, its way
cannot be traced. ---- Nature.
The serpent
using muscles, without the aid of arms or legs, can climb over crevice and
crag, and find passage through a peephole. -----Strength.
The ship with constructed mast and sails
captures the wind and faces storms head-on. -----Mind.
But who can
know the way of a man with a maid?
Soars by
the winds of adoration, no obstacle insurmountable, engineering all manner of
stratagem to win her heart. ----Soul.

We're talking about motivation on a colossal scale here. The drive to win the heart of a fair maid can indeed move mountains. The best kind of marriage is one in which each partner strives to continually win the love of the other. That's the kind of marriage I'd like to have.
