Gay issues

"The LGBT community is all too aware of the relentless and pervading controversies surrounding homosexuality in political, theological, ecumenical, psychological, scientific, medical, educational and legal arenas (adoption and marriage etc.). Even though homosexuality for them is very personal and often shameful, they must continue to endure public misunderstanding, dogmatic opinions and endless debates, especially when it comes to the issue of "change." Some former homosexuals say that life as a gay person is not satisfying and that "change" is possible. Others say that the "change" they experienced didn’t last and now believe once gay always gay. Some say that you will be harmed if you try to change your homosexuality; others say you will be harmed if you don't. The gay community longs for a safe, quiet place to simply be. They are exhausted and often overwhelmed by this combative and confusing environment." Janelle Hallman licensed professional counselor.

Now my intention in sharing this is to help us as Christians not to be part of the problem but to gain some understanding so we can be more effective reaching the lost, whoever they are.
