Which church?

"Let us choose, therefore, to commune where there is the warmest Sense of Religion; where devotion exceeds formality, and practise most corresponds with Profession; and where there is at least as much charity as zeal: For where this society is to be found, there shall we find the Church of God.
The humble, meek, merciful, just, pious and devout souls, are everywhere of one religion; and when death has taken off the mask, they will know one another, although the divers liveries they wear here make them strangers."

Hello Fred!

Very inspiring post!

The fact still remains that generally no one selects a religion of his choice. Normally people follow the religion of their fathers and grandfathers.

A person born in a Christian family automatically becomes a Christian, a person born in a Hindu family becomes a Hindu, a person born in a Muslim family becomes a Muslim and so on.

Although religion plays a very basic, fundamental and most essential role in a person's life, very few will take the trouble of carefully selecting a religion after carefull study, thought, and guidance.

Have a good day!

Hello Joseph,
So true, within the Christian church, we may move to a different denomination, but rarely away from the faith of our parents. The Christian church is changing so much in the US that moving around is pretty common.
Many blessings to you,
